The Pennyroyal Arts Council's camp for youth will meet Oct. 5 through 9.

The commission is now accepting nominations for awards that are presented annually at the breakfast. These include the Hal & Bettye Thurmond Award.

The Taste of the Town, featuring food trucks, music and dancing, is planned at Founders Square, and special programming will happen at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

Bri Smith, a real estate agent and former music teacher, has also served as a board member for the arts council.
