Students on fall break Oct. 5 through 9 will have an opportunity to paint a new mural in downtown Hopkinsville during the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s Mural Art Camp.
Registration is now open for the camp. The cost is $100. Space is limited to 12 students in grades 5 through 12.
“Led by art educator Paula Gieseke, this hands-on program will walk participants through the exciting process of mural-making, from initial design to the final brushstrokes,” Bri Smith, the arts council’s education coordinator, said in a press release. “Campers will work together to create a vibrant, permanent mural on the wall of a downtown business; a lasting contribution to Hopkinsville’s growing public art scene.”
The campers will meet from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
