Artist proposals sought for Mural Art Camp in downtown Hopkinsville

The Pennyroyal Arts Council's camp for youth will meet Oct. 5 through 9.

The Pennyroyal Arts Council is seeing proposals from local artists to lead its next Mural Art Camp for youth, which is planned Oct. 5 through 9 in downtown Hopkinsville.

“Artists are encouraged to propose designs that are Jazz-related, interactive, and reflective of Hopkinsville’s unique heritage and character,” the arts council said. “The mural should provide opportunities for community interaction, such as photo-friendly elements or creative perspectives.”

The artist chosen for the project will be responsible for designing the mural, measuring 19 by 12 feet.

In addition, the artist will instruct up to 10 students in the camp, which will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

Additional information about submitting a proposal is available here
