Ashli Watts will speak at the Dec. 7 Eye Opener Breakfast at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.

Veterans are invited to walk or ride on a float for the half-mile parade.

Events include a workshop on writing thank you notes, a book discussion, the Sons of Mystro concert, a quilt program and Community Reader Day.

November and December are packed with events ranging from the Turkey Trot to holiday open houses and the Christmas parade.

Events include William T. Turner's telling of the Bell Witch story at Jeffers Bend and trick-or-treating in downtown.

More than 300 runners are expected for the two races.

The Campanile Productions show runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and has a Sunday matinee.

Hopkinsville Community College faculty member Christa Granderson will lead the discussion of Ross Gay's book of poetry.

Registration is open for Hopkinsville's 22nd annual Turkey Trot, a 5K run or walk through downtown and part of the rail-trail.

If you haven’t experienced one of Constance Alexander's poetry workshops, this week is your opportunity. 

Runners will receive a medal and long-sleeve shirt featuring a waffle iron, a nod to Hopkinsville’s designation as Batter Capital of the World. 

The fundraiser is slated for Oct. 19 at the senior center.
