Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams said the major election changes made during the pandemic need to have time to work before substantive changes are made.

An Associated Press review of potential voter fraud in six battleground states took months and encompassed more than 300 local election offices. It found that there was an insufficient number of cases to affect the election.

Lawmakers approved the measure because of how late they are tackling the once-per-decade redistricting process for seats in the legislature.

The affected lawmakers include Rep. Lynn Bechler, who represents a portion of Christian County.

People can register to vote, update party affiliations or check on their registration statuses on the secretary of state’s website.

The forum begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Hopkinsville High School gymnasium.

There will be five local judicial races on the Christian County ballot, but so far only one is contested.

Booker, a former Democratic state representative, is trying to unseat Kentucky’s junior Republican U.S. Sen. Rand Paul at the ballot box next year.

Mason will face Magistrate Jerry Gilliam and agriculture businesswoman Katie Moyer in their party's primary.

Foster has worked as an assistant county attorney for 10 years and started his career in the office with his father, Mike Foster, the former county attorney.

Christian County Magistrate Mark Wells represents the county's 2nd District, a role he has held for two terms.

Cotthoff was first elected in 2014 to serve as Christian District Court judge.
