Santa Claus will visit and have photos taken with children during the Jeffers Bend holiday event.

Permits will be available online Nov. 28 through Dec. 24.

The Christian County Ministerial Association hosts the service. This year it will be at Grace Episcopal Church.

The packaged to-go meal will be served in a drive-thru operation from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pioneers Memorial Complex, 904 N. Main St.

The 5K, open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, traditionally has several hundred participants.

Merchants and community groups will be handing out candy from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday.
