Abstract works by artist Jay Swafford, of Springfield, Tennessee, will be on display Feb. 1 through 25 at Hopkinsville Community College’s Auditorium Gallery. The collection is called “Everyday Abstractions 22.”

“Jay Swafford is an artist who looks at the world from the inside out,” a news release from the college states. “… he skews the subjects in his mind through a multifaceted prism. He guides the viewer into his way of seeing things that may normally be taken for granted. Swafford invites viewers to revisit the environment of people, places and things with his paintings.”
