Hopkinsville Art Guild exhibit at museum depicts scenes of Christian County

The exhibit features work representing locations in Hopkinsville and Christian County.

The Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St., is hosting an exhibit by the Hopkinsville Art Guild that features artwork representing locations in Hopkinsville and Christian County. 

The exhibit includes oil, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media works by Betty Liles, Linda Pierce, Larry Richardson, Jeannie White, Laurel King, Lynn Shepherd, Jack Shepherd and Henrietta Kemp, according to a press release from the guild.

The museum exhibit will be up for a few months. The public may view the works during the museum’s regular hours — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The museum will be closed for Christmas Dec. 24-27. 

Guild members also have artwork displayed at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, the Christian County Chamber of Commerce and the Hopkinsville Municipal Center.

The guild’s website features woodwork, pottery, paintings and other works that are available to purchase. The online gallery has “a wide selection of unique gifts by local artists that would make great Christmas gifts,” the release states.
