The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is reviving its Supper in the Cemetery, which has been on hiatus for a number of years, with a program that will complement the Edgar Cayce Hometown Seminar.
The supper is planned at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Riverside Cemetery, 530 N. Main St.
“Gather among the tombstones for a lasagna dinner prepared by Hancock’s Catering before convening inside the Riverside Chapel. There, we will hear from actors portraying people who played key roles in the life of Edgar Cayce,” organizers at the museum said in a press release. “Born in Christian County in 1877, Edgar Cayce displayed great gifts of clairvoyance that he used to help thousands of people overcome health and other problems. Widely known as the ‘Sleeping Prophet,’ Cayce is credited at being an early force in holistic medicine and in the New Age movement. His lifetime work continues to provide healthy living goals, spiritual ideals, and life lessons today.”
Reservations for Supper in the Cemetery only (for those not registered for the Edgar Cayce Hometown Seminar) should be made online through the museum Shopify store, or in person at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St. Tickets are $25 per person, or $20 for museum members.
Online registration is also available for the full weekend of the Cayce seminar. The cost is $100 (or $90 for museum members).
