Prizes will be awarded at the library's fall festival on Oct. 28 for scariest, funniest, most creative and cutest pumpkins.

Elevate Windows and Doors will create a manufacturing and distribution hub in a spec building at Hopkinsville's Commerce Park I.

The evening parade through downtown Hopkinsville will be Saturday, Dec. 10.

The bridge was closed Wednesday after city officials were made aware of cracks in the bridge’s retaining wall.

The Christian County Literacy Council had more than 80 entrants for the second annual competition.

Officials closed the bridge Tuesday after cracks on the surrounding stone work were noticed.

The grants will help the Salvation Army of Hopkinsville and the Pathfinder Pantry at Hopkinsville Community College with their hunger relief efforts.

Community and Development Services board members adopted the proposal for council consideration.

The unveiling occurred on the 70th anniversary of her birth in Hopkinsville as Gloria Jean Watkins.

"Memories offer us a world where there is no death, where we are sustained by rituals of regard and recollection," bell hooks wrote in "Belonging: A Culture of Place"

The new devices are in addition to 18 desktop computers the library has for public use.

Visit Hopkinsville will give a presentation at the Oct. 5 lunch meeting at the sportsplex.
