Events

In recognition of Women's History Month, the program will feature short biographies of local woman who have influenced the community.

Actors will portray people who were significant in the life of Cayce, who became known as the "Sleeping Prophet."

The Pennyrile Democratic Woman’s Club will host the April 16 event.

The Christian County Master Gardener Association helps organize the annual event.

The event for community members will be at The Book & Bottle Shop on East Ninth Street.

Proceeds will benefit the Pioneers Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The movie is based on the 1982 novel by Alice Walker, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book Award.

Community members are invited to the workshop, led by Kentucky writer Constance Alexander, on March 4 at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

"RISING" chronicles efforts to build new homes for survivors of historic Eastern Kentucky flooding in 2022.

The Knights of Columbus serve the meals from 5 to 7 p.m. every Friday through March 27.

African American soul food is on the menu for the March 12 program at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.
