The Nashville Opera is bringing the "One Vote Won" — a work that was commissioned in observance of the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution — to Hopkinsville.

The event on Saturday, Oct. 15, will also have pork chop sandwiches served by Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary.

Prizes will be awarded at the library's fall festival on Oct. 28 for scariest, funniest, most creative and cutest pumpkins.

Visit Hopkinsville will give a presentation at the Oct. 5 lunch meeting at the sportsplex.

The festival will include a farm-to-table dinner, bourbon vendors, a vintage craft fair and a team cocktail competition.
