Christian County’s eight public elementary schools raised $19,952 for the Hopkinsville Rotary Auction and helped push the auction’s tally to more than $138,000 on Wednesday.
Auction chairman Cody Noffsinger said the main auction raised $9,782 on the third night, while the diner and sweet shop collected $5,816 and the Hour and Goat clubs brought in $26,217.
On Thursday, the county’s middle and high schools, along with local private schools, will be at the auction to report their fundraising efforts. The main auction begins at 7 p.m.
The auction, which raises money for college scholarships, runs through Saturday at the Memorial Building downtown.
