Wendell Lynch will present his first proposed budget as the city’s elected mayor at 9 a.m. Friday, May 7, at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center.
A limited number of socially distanced seats will be available for members of the public to attend the budget address. A livestream will be available on the city’s website and on its Facebook page. The budget documents will be available on the city’s website after 2 p.m. Friday.

City council members will consider the 2021-22 spending plan during their Committee of the Whole meetings at 6 p.m. on May 13 and 20. If needed, there will be a third budget session at 6 p.m. May 27.
Traditionally, city council adopts the city budget in June. The new fiscal year begins on July 1.
