City officials announce street closures for Hopkinsville’s Christmas parade Saturday

The parade travels along Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street.

Hopkinsville’s Christmas parade Saturday evening will require several street closures before and during the parade, which travels along Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street. It begins at 5:15 p.m.

In a press release from Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation, officials noted the following:

  • Glass Avenue will be blocked from 2:30 until 6:30 p.m.
  • All side streets on Glass Avenue from North Drive to Main Street will be blocked from 2:30 until 6:30 p.m.
  • All side streets on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street will be blocked from 4 until 7 p.m.
  • No parking will be allowed on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street from 4 until 7 p.m.

The theme for the HES/EnergyNet Night Christmas Parade is Christmas Vacation. Derrick Watson, who is retiring at the end of the year as president and CEO of the Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, will be grand marshal.
