Hopkinsville Rotarians inched closer to a quarter-million dollars in fundraising as they headed into the final night of the 71st annual Rotary Auction.
Chairman Cody Noffsinger reported that the auction brought in approximately $55,900 on Friday, pushing the week’s total to $240,910. Friday’s total included $13,066 from the main auction, $35,979 in Hour and Goat club donations and $6,898 from the diner and sweat shop.
The auction resumes at 6 p.m. Saturday. It will run until the last item is sold, which could be around midnight or later depending on how many donated goods remain on the auction block.
