A student art exhibition is on display at the Alhambra Theatre, 507 S. Main St., for the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s annual observance of Youth Art Month, which culminates with a reception and recognition ceremony at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 26. The exhibit features artwork by students from Christian and Todd counties.

“Families, educators and community members are invited to attend and celebrate the creative achievements of our young artists,” organizers said in a press release from the arts council.
Youth Art Month was established in 1961. Locally it is part of the arts council’s smARTS program.
“We believe that art has the power to inspire, educate and unite,” Kelly Selfe, education coordinator for the arts council said in the release.
