In this general election, 5,140 Christian County voters requested an absentee ballot. As of Wednesday, more than 3,000 had been returned to the county clerk's office.
Three Hopkinsville organizations — the Hopkinsville Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Pennyroyal Arts Council — are among those selected.
A Hopkinsville trivia contest, sponsored by Hoptown Chronicle, will occur during breaks in the Beards of the Brewery competition. Several prizes donated by local businesses and organizations will be awarded. The trivia questions are about local history and downtown.
Early, in-person voting continues this week at the sheriff's department. Beginning next week, voters can go to the sheriff's department or the senior center.
