The charter aircraft crash on Dec. 12, 1985, killed 248 Fort Campbell Soldiers.

Community members are invited to join the tour at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Freeman Chapel CME Church.

The parade travels along Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street.

The concert on Dec. 15 will be the first opportunity for many community members to enjoy Heejung Park’s talents as a conductor and composer.

The Christian County Ministerial Association hosts the service. This year it will be at Grace Episcopal Church.

Here’s the place to keep tabs on the many ways to participate in community events planned for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year.

Original artwork by guild members will be available to purchase on Nov. 21 and 22 at the Memorial Building.

The 5K, open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, traditionally has several hundred participants.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Memorial Building and ends at the Justice Center for a brief ceremony.

Merchants and community groups will be handing out candy from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan service, a Scottish-American tradition with bagpipe music, begins at 11 a.m. at the Hopkinsville church.

Each tour, one at 4:30 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m., will last about 90 minutes. The two groups will share a catered supper in the cemetery at 6 p.m.
