The fifth annual Taste of the Town, an event coinciding with the Eighth of August emancipation celebration, is set for the second weekend of August at Founders Square in downtown Hopkinsville.
Taste of the Town, hosted by Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats, will run from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.
The two-day event “shines a spotlight on local flavors and community favorites,” with 10 to 15 food trucks slated to participate, the hosts said in a press release.
The release lists the following event highlights:
- A wide selection of food trucks with unique and flavorful offerings
- Live music and stage performances throughout the weekend
- Games and entertainment for children and families
- Community vendors
