Coalition board member Jeremy Rogers, an open records practitioner with two decades of experience and a partner at Dinsmore and Shohl LLP, Louisville, will be the host. The 30-minute, live webinar will equip participants with the knowledge they need to successfully use the open records law as amended in the 2021 legislative session.

The Kentucky Open Government Coalition was established to serve citizens who want to protect the public’s right to know, so there is no requirement for webinar participants to have any level of expertise in open government laws. The coalition’s mission is to strengthen open government advocacy across the state by increasing the number of Kentucky residents who understand the open records and open meetings laws and who appreciate the need for them, a webinar organizer said.

Anyone who wants to join the webinar should preregister by filling out the form available online.

The coalition will email registrants closer to the date of the webinar with the link needed tp participate. It will use Webex for the session and can be downloaded here.

Attorneys seeking CLE credit will be able to state their preference on the registration form.
