Hopkinsville Community College’s 58th literary journal to be unveiled April 25

"Round Table Literary Journal" is one of the college's oldest traditions. It was established in 1966.

Writers will be recognized as the 58th edition of the “Round Table Literary Journal” is unveiled during an awards ceremony at noon Thursday, April 25, in Hopkinsville Community Colleges’s Round Table Literary Park.

The literary journal is one of the college’s oldest traditions. It was established with the first edition in 1966 by the late Frances G. Thomas, an English instructor, and her students. Thomas was also instrumental in creating the Round Table Literary Park at HCC.

The journal features writing and art from local residents and students. 

Awards will be presented in several categories for art, poetry, fiction and nonfiction — and contributors will read from their work. 

In addition to the awards ceremony, there will be a pop-up poetry activity for guests. The public is invited, and a lunch will follow. In the event of rain, the program will be in the Rotary Learning Resource Center Library.
