Hopkinsville Community College is urging high school seniors and adult students to apply for scholarships

The scholarship deadline, extended because of the coronavirus, is May 1.

Hopkinsville Community College is urging potential students to apply now for scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year.

“Don’t assume that you don’t qualify for a scholarship at HCC. Go online, download the application, complete it and return it to the college,” Chief Institutional Advancement Officer Yvette Eastham said in a news release. “Like the old saying goes, ‘you can’t win if you don’t enter,’ and we want to support as many students as possible.”

More than $365,000 in support is available from HCC through the Hopkinsville Rotary Scholars Program, the HCC Foundation Scholarships and the Cadiz Rotary Scholarship Program.

In response to the coronavirus crisis, the deadline to apply has been extended to May 1.

The pandemic has created financial uncertainty for groups that could benefit from the HCC scholarships, including parents of high school seniors who are worried about paying tuition and adults who may be considering a change in occupation.

Scholarship applications may be emailed to the college scholarship committee chair at Jeremy.calico@kctcs.edu or mailed to Scholarship Committee, Hopkinsville Community College, P.O. Box 2100, Hopkinsville, KY  42241-2100.

Additional information can also be obtained by calling (270) 707-3809.
