History on Tap: Ghosts of Christmas Past planned on Dec. 10

The free program at Hopkinsville Brewing will look at local Christmas traditions through the decades.

History on Tap: Ghosts of Christmas Past, a look at old holiday traditions and stories, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Hopkinsville Brewing Co. It is a free program provided by the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County

“Join museum staff as we examine the origins of Santa Claus, explore how the community observed Christmas traditions throughout the decades, and take a look back through the years to see what popular gifts were on everyone’s lists,” Alissa Keller, the museum’s executive director, said in a press release. “You might even see a “Letter to Santa” from someone you know as we highlight some of those letters that were published in the Kentucky New Era throughout the 1980s.”

This will be the last History on Tap for the year.
