The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library has announced that it will host the fourth annual Hoptown FanFest on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The comic convention, which is planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, will feature a cosplay contest, speakers, artists, exhibitors and games, according to a news release from HCCPL. FanFest panel discussions will include “Hopkinsville in Comics” with The Secret Base, “Indie Publishing” with Matt Schorr, “Make-up in Cosplay” with Lauren Diehl and “How to Illustrate Comics” with Barry Williams.

“We are excited to have these enthusiastic and knowledgeable panelists,” event co-coordinator and Director of Library Services at Hopkinsville Community College Elysa Parks said in the release. “They are excellent at what they do, and we can’t wait to see what fantastic tips they pass on!”
Participants in the cosplay contest should arrive dressed as their favorite character and sign up between 10 a.m. and noon. The contest rules are available online.
Vendor applications are being accepted through Sept. 10.
