Book & Bottle Shop hosting open mic poetry night Saturday, July 12

The shop announced that "Performances of all kinds are welcome, from original poetry, to readings, to spoken word, and everything in between."

The Book & Bottle Shop in downtown Hopkinsville is hosting an open mic poetry night beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 12. This is the shop’s second poetry night.

“Performances of all kinds are welcome, from original poetry, to readings, to spoken word, and everything in between,” organizers said in a  Facebook post. 

Pre-registration online is encouraged but not required to participate. 

“Whether you choose to take the stage, share your own work, or even just to listen, you will leave inspired by the written word,” states a description on the shop’s websites. 

A welcome period begins at 5:30 p.m., and readings will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Book & Bottle Shop is at 123 E. Ninth St.
