United Way of Pennyrile set to kick off campaign Sept. 4

Community members are invited to the breakfast to learn more about this year's campaign. The campaign theme is Give Unlimited Possibilities.

The United Way of the Pennyrile will kick off its 2025-26 fundraising campaign with a community breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Christian County Senior Citizens Center, 1402 W. Seventh St. Doors will open at 7 a.m., and the program will begin at 7:30 a.m.

The breakfast is open to anyone interested in supporting the campaign or learning more about the effort.

“The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Give Unlimited Possibilities,’ inspired by Barbie’s timeless motto: ‘Anything is possible.’ Just as Barbie has encouraged generations to dream big, United Way believes in creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive — because when we unite and give, anything is possible,” organizers said in a press release.

The campaign co-chairs are Abigail Landrum and Bri Smith. The local United Way executive director is Melanie Quinn Noffsinger.

Money raised during the campaign will support more than 30 programs provided by 16 agencies in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties. United Way calls these organizations Partner Impact Agencies.

During the breakfast, campaign workers will give a report on Pacesetter totals raised so far and announce the financial goal for this year’s campaign, which runs until Nov. 30.

Traditionally, many donors make their contributions at work. Anyone interested in scheduling a workplace presentation should call 270-886-8171.

Donations can also be made online though the local United Way website
