When local photographer and artist Cat Lacy saw a slab of concerte encasing a ramp that led up to the Pennyroyal Area Museum, she saw potential — not just to beautify the community, but to bring it together.
Several residents answered the call to lend a hand in the effort to memorialize local notables during a celebration of Christian County native and internationally renowned clairvoyant Edgard Cayce.
Murals have made their mark on Hopkinsville in recent years, beautifying areas around the city while chronicling its history. These public art pieces can boost neighborhood pride and resilience, empower youth and marginalized communities, and foster connections. Recent installations include:

- Sixth Street near South Virginia Street
- Christian County Historical Society building (May 2022)
- Christian County Historical Society building (Feb. 2023)
- Trail of Tears Commemorative Park
- Grace and Mercy residential program
- Hopkinsville Brewing Company
- Jeffers Bend Environmental Center
