Kentucky had 381 newly confirmed coronavirus cases Monday, including 43 cases among children ages 18 and younger, Gov. Andy Beshear reported. Since the pandemic began, 48,396 cases have been confirmed in Kentucky.
“We always have lower numbers on Sundays and Mondays, due to lab closures over the weekend. But the White House report for this week still has 59 of our 120 counties in the red or yellow zone,” Beshear said in remarks prepared for his Monday update. “We don’t want any of our counties in either. Let’s remember how serious this is and not act like everything is normal.”
The state reported three deaths, pushing the death toll to 933 Kentuckians.
The deaths included a man, 61, from Lincoln County, a woman, 72, from Martin County, and a man, 65, from Owen County.
