The Christian County Health Department reported 11 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, pushing the total number of local cases confirmed since the pandemic began to 780.
For the first time in more than a week, the seven-day average of new cases has decreased. After having climbed to a record high of 17 on Sunday and Monday, the average dropped to 15 on Tuesday.

According to the health department’s report, 238 local coronavirus cases were classified as active on Tuesday.
The number of active cases by age group released by the department was:
- Youth (0-21): 51
