The Christian County Health Department reported 34 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday, raising the total since the start of the pandemic to 407.
Since Monday, the health department has confirmed 84 new cases, significantly more than any week so far. Last week was the previous high mark with 58 new cases, according to the health department’s records.
The total as of Friday included 178 active cases, 225 recovered and four deaths. The active cases were 43.7% of the total. Monday there were 134 active cases, which was 39.1% of the total then, 343.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Youth (0-21): 36
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 118
- Older Adult (60-84): 20
- Elderly (85+): 4
The health department’s daily report Friday did not provide any information about possible clusters or outbreaks in the county.
