Christian County has 21 new coronavirus cases, pushing total to 365

As of Wednesday, there were 143 active cases and 218 people who have recovered from the virus, according to the health department.

The Christian County Health Department reported 21 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases Wednesday, raising the county’s total to 365 since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. 

The total includes 143 active cases. Those cases by age group are:

  • Youth (0-21): 26
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 94 
  • Older Adult (60-84): 19
  • Elderly (85+): 4

Since the beginning of this week, 42 new cases have been confirmed. Last week, the county set a record for new cases with 58. That followed 39 new cases the week of June 28 and 54 the week of June 21.

To date, 218 people have recovered after previously being diagnosed with an infection, and four people have died from COVID-19 complications.
