For a third consecutive day, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Christian County remained at 97 Friday with no newly confirmed cases, the health department reported.

The county’s total includes 14 active cases, 80 recovered and three deaths. The deaths were all reported on April 8.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Pediatric (0-21): 1
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 6
- Older Adult (60-84): 7
- Elderly (85+): 0
Kentucky had 252 newly confirmed cases, which brings the states total to 7,444, Gov. Andy Beshear said during his Friday briefing.
He reported four deaths: a 74-year-old man from Campbell County, an 80-year-old woman from Jefferson County, and two men, ages 66 and 60, from Fayette County.
Since the coronavirus outbreak began, 332 people in Kentucky have died from COVID-19.
At least 2,739 people have recovered from the respiratory disease.
