Kentucky voter registration deadline is April 22

Voter registration can be completed online or in person at the Christian County Clerk's Office.

Kentuckians who are not registered to vote must complete a registration by 4 p.m. Monday, April 22, to be eligible to cast a ballot in the May 21 primary.

Voter registration can be completed online through the Kentucky Secretary of State’s website or in person at the Christian County Clerk’s Office in the old courthouse building, 511 S. Main St.

To be eligible, a person must reside in Kentucky, be at least 18 years old and not have a felony conviction. (Those who will be 18 by the date of the general election — this year on Nov. 5 — may register in advance of the general election.)

Voters who have an address change or a name change also need to update their registration by April 22, the local clerk’s website notes

The clerk’s hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 270-887-4107.
