Hopkinsville’s Christmas parade — starting at 5:15 p.m. Saturday and going along South Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street — will require several street closures.

City officials advised motorists that the following streets will be blocked on Saturday:

  • Glass Avenue and all its side streets from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • All side streets on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street from 4 to 7 p.m.
  • No parking will be allowed on Main Street along the parade route from 4 to 7 p.m. Only parade participants will be allowed on Glass Avenue from 4 to 6 p.m.

Hopkinsville Electric System and EnergyNet are the parade sponsors. The theme is “It’s a Kid’s Christmas,” and Terrence Davis, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County will be the grand marshal.
