Walking is a way of getting the mind moving and gaining some control during a time when many people have lost control in different parts of life as a result of the coronavirus.

A cleaning crew will go into the courthouse early Tuesday to sanitize the interior.

Anyone who goes for a flu shot on Oct. 14 will also have the option of being tested for COVID-19.

The League of Women Voters of Hopkinsville hosted a series of debates earlier this week. Hoptown Chronicle is providing readers with archived recordings in an effort to help them make informed decisions as they case their ballots this fall.

Voters have until Oct. 9 to request a mail-in ballot, which they can return by mail or hand-deliver to the courthouse or sheriff's office. Voters also have the ability to check online for the status of their ballot, including whether it has been received at the clerk’s office.

The Christian County Health Department has provided Hoptown Chronicle with some clarification in response to some common misunderstandings about COVID-19.

The winner in the November general election will serve the two years remaining on the former mayor's unexpired term.

The governor cautioned that the number of cases is on an upward trajectory in the state, and colder weather will only increase the risk.
