On Monday, state and local leaders celebrated construction progress in Glendale, Kentucky, where a pair of electric vehicle manufacturing plants are under construction.
Ascend Elements Inc., a privately held Massachusetts company, uses recycled lithium-ion batteries to manufacture materials for electric vehicle batteries.
The plan, dubbed “E3” for energy, environment and economic development, used words that nod to the impacts of climate change, but never actually mentions the elephant in the room, or any serious plans to reduce the state’s reliance on fossil fuels.
