Supper Club sessions planned for 2025; up first is Indian cuisine

Dr. Paresh and Mona Sheth will prepare Indian food and share stories about their cuisine for the Feb. 13 gathering.

The Supper Club, a collaboration of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Human Rights Commission of Hopkinsville-Christian County, will have its first session of the year at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St.

The Supper Club: Indian Cuisine will be led by Dr. Paresh and Mona Sheth. They will prepare special recipes of Indian heritage, organizers said in a press release.

“Dr. Sheth is a neurologist now under the umbrella of the Jennie Stuart Health Provider Based Clinics, and Mona is actively involved in many aspects of the community [including the League of Women Voters],” the release states. “Both love to cook, and they maintain a friendly banter over who is the better chef. They will each prepare classic Indian cuisine and share the origins and stories about their chosen dishes.”

The next Supper Club gatherings will be: April 10 (Spain), June 12 (TBA), Aug. 7 (Kentucky favorites), Oct. 9 (Germany) and Dec. 11 (Holiday sampler) — all beginning at 6 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

Tickets for each session are $10, or $50 for all six sessions. The museum sells the tickets online through its Shopify store.

“The club is open to anyone who loves food, conversation and learning about other cultures through commensality, which means together at the table,” the release states.
