‘Saturday Sleuths’ is new children’s program at Hopkinsville museum

On the last Saturday of each month, participants can become detectives and help solve a history mystery at the museum.

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is starting a new monthly program, “Saturday Sleuths,” for children ages 6 to 12.

On the last Saturday of each month, participants can become detectives and help solve a history mystery at the museum.

The first “Saturday Sleuths” will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Jan 25 at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St.

“A museum artifact has gone missing, and we need help to discover the culprit and recover the artifact all while learning about local winter history and how it has impacted the wildlife of our area,” a museum employee said in a press release. “There will be puzzles to solve and a special winter craft connected to our mystery.”

More information is available by contacting Brett Pritchett, the museum’s learning coordinator, at 270-887-4270 or brett@museumsofhopkinsville.org
