Shelby Briggs, 86, of Cadiz, died on Thursday, March 21, at her home. A native of Hopkinsville, she was retired from Lake Barkley State Resort Park, where she served as a hostess and server in the dining room for 23 years. After retiring, she continued to work at Cadiz Restaurant for several years. She was a longtime member of Liberty Point Baptist Church. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main St., Cadiz, with Rev. Paxton Redd officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The memorial service will be livestreamed at 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, on the funeral home’s YouTube channel.
