Shannon Lea Ballard, 52, of Crofton, died at 1:47 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. A native of Hopkinsville, she earned a master’s degree in psychology from Austin Peay State University and worked at Western State Hospital. She was a member of Crofton Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 29, at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton with burial to follow in Lanier Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
