Rosemary Laffoon Downey, 81, of Hopkinsville, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at her home. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, she worked for the City of Madisonville in the utility billing department until retiring. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Living Hope Baptist Church. Graveside services and burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Suthards Cemetery in Earlington, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the church on Saturday. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may take the form of donations to Living Hope Baptist Church or Pennyroyal Hospice.
