Ronald E. “Ronnie” Scruggs, 78, of Hopkinsville, died at 5:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. A Hopkinsville native, he was a Vietnam veteran and retired U.S. Army Reserves colonel. He also retired from Kentucky Probation and Parole. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.
