Richard Spencer Holt Sr., 82, of Lexington, died Friday Jan. 10. A Hopkinsville native, he was a graduate of Hopkinsville High School where he was senior class president. He graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School and was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Judge Advocate Corps from 1968 to 1972. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to Kentucky and practiced law in Louisville and Lexington at the Greenebaum Doll & McDonald law firm. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 E. Main St., Lexington, with burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.
