Retired U.S. Army Colonel Frank “Bud” Metcalf, 89, of Hopkinsville, died Monday, Nov. 25, at his residence. A native of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, he was a member of First United Methodist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel, having served during Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at First United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour Tuesday at the church. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
