Estel Norman Manasco, 89, of Madisonville, died March 20 at Madisonville Health and Rehab. A native of Christian County, he graduated from Crofton High School and Austin Peay State University, where he ran track. Known to many as Stormin’ Norman, he taught and coached Dawson Springs and Providence high schools, as well as in Madisonville and Jessamine County, Kentucky, and Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was a member of the Crofton Christian Church, was a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the EW Turner Masonic Lodge in Earlington, Kentucky. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton, with a reception to follow at Gordon Park, 13731 Old Madisonville Road. Dogwood Funerals and Cremations is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crofton Christian Church.
