John Perry Fourqurean

John Perry Fourqurean, 84, of Cadiz, Kentucky, died on Sunday, Jan. 19, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz. A native of Gracey, graduated from Sinking Fork High School and Western Kentucky University. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service after 32 years. As the County Extension Agent, he organized the first official Trigg County Country Ham Festival in 1977. Last year, Fourqurean was inducted into the Kentucky Cattleman’s Hall of Fame. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at East End Cemetery. The funeral service also will be live streamed on the funeral home’s YouTube channel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the John and Mary Ann Fourqurean Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o FNB Bank, 2558 Main St, Cadiz, KY 42211, honoring their passion for supporting future generations.
