John Louis Hopson, 93, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and formerly of Hopkinsville, died on September 22. Born at Madisonville, he grew up in Cadiz. He attended Columbia Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army. Hobson earned a pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina. He owned Thrif-T Drugs in Hopkinsville and Cadiz and was a member of First Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, where he sang in the choir and served as a deacon. Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date. Family Funeral & Cremation, Pensacola, Florida, assisted with arrangements.
