Jim Burton, 80, of Hopkinsville, died at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Ahava Healthcare in Paris, Tennessee. A native of Joliet, Illinois, he was a U.S. Army veteran having served as a first lieutenant with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam. He received three Bronze Stars. He worked as an insurance adjuster and as a construction project manager. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
