Janice Merritt, 84, of Hopkinsville, died on Monday, May 5, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. A native of Wayne, West Virginia, she retired from managing the SOS Shop after more than 16 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at noon Friday, May 9, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Trinity Baptist Church.
